Thanks all for the advice, you're all right. My husband and I talked about the idea of letting them guided the conversation by what they know already and just squash the completely inaccurate. We'll see how it goes.

I think open and honest is the way to go, and agree with Suzanne, maybe next time Moses asks, ask her how she thinks they might. I don't know, I make my husband handle the hard stuff. (that came out sounding wrong) I let him talk to my son. And luckily they don't ask too many questions.

Too funny!

I watched a show (I think it was Oprah) where they said that you should never have to have "the talk" but rather start out young and continue sharing "age" appropriate information. If you're not sure let them guide ... if they ask, "Mommy, what does XXX mean?" I've learned to say, "Well, what do you think XXX means?" Based on what they know ... or in most cases what they DON'T know ... you can decide how to answer. Usually works but occassionally they come up with something that just ... well, leaves me speechless ... which isn't easy to do! LOL *SmiLes*

you know Betty you are really, really good at this writing thing! oh and i was the same with my daughter until she wanted details, then all of a sudden it wasn't so cool to be the forthcoming, truthful mom...basically i told her that she needed to wait a little bit longer for the exact details until I grew up a little more!
